Why Seek Counselling? At times we can all feel challenged or stuck, overwhelmed by life stresses or yearning for better relationships with the people we care about. It is natural to desire happiness and contentment, but finding that balance is not always easy and sometimes we need a little extra help to get there. It can feel scary to seek that help, but by coming to this website you have already begun the process towards change and growth.

Counselling helps us to face the challenges in our lives by recognizing and changing ineffective, repetitive and destructive patterns of thought, communication and behaviour. Over 20 years of solid training and experience enable me to help you resolve both inner personal conflicts and stress, as well as relational problems. I will work with you in a supportive and confidential setting to relieve your symptoms of distress as you gain insight into your self, focus on your strengths and goals, and develop the skills to find solutions to your current problems. Together we will help you to bring about a sense of healing and regained control.

Approach to Therapy: I use an integrated approach which includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy. I see individuals, couples and families, and have trained in a systemic approach which allows me to specialize in working with relationships.

Practicalities: I offer a free 20-minute consultation so you can decide if I am the right therapist for you. My website has more details on my training and experience, as well as questions about fees and how therapy works. We can meet in person, or via online therapy, which usually takes place on Skype or Facetime. I also offer generalized answers to questions via my Agony Aunt sections on English Informer in France. Please contact me to discuss what your difficulties are, and I look forward to helping you on your journey.

Languages Spoken: Therapy takes place in English. I also increasingly see French clients who are able to converse in English, particularly where they are attending for relationship therapy with their English or American spouse.
